Winchester Design Studio
In 2019 CEDIK and the College of Design at the University of Kentucky launched the Winchester Design Studio. Located in a Main Street storefront in the heart of downtown Winchester, Kentucky, the Studio served as a proof of concept for how the design and economic development resources of the University could be embedded in a community to support their needs.

The primary goal of this multidisciplinary project at UK centered on supporting the health of Kentucky SNAP-Ed participants through engagement in local Policy, System, and Environment exploration. CEDIK completed a survey of SNAP Food Providers to support this project. The reports in this series explore the challenges and practices of stores that accept EBT cards and the implications for local food access in the study area.
