Simona Balazs, MS

Simona is a doctoral candidate at UK, in the Department of Educational Policy Studies and Evaluation in the College of Education.  She currently works with Dr. Davis on the Kentucky Rural Health Works Program. She has co-written several reports with Dr. Davis, and most recently contributed to our publication for Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky, the 2012 Kentucky Healthcare Market Report.

Shaheer Burney, MBA

Shaheer is a doctoral student at UK, in the Department of Agricultural Economics, College of Agriculture.  He is working with our Research Director on several grant funded projects.

 

Stephanie Johnson, BS

Stephanie is a master's student at UK, in the Department of Agricultural Economics, College of Agriculture.  Stephanie has been Dr. Davis' teaching assistant for an online offering of AEC 303, Microeconomic Concepts in Agricultural Economics.  Stephanie currently works with Dr. Davis and Dr. Jill Stowe on a research project that is examining the economic impact of the equine industry.

 

Emmanuel Owusu-Amankwah, BS

Emmanuel is a master's student at UK, in the Department of Agricultural Economics, College of Agriculture.  He has been working on a research project that examined the impact of the fine arts extension program in our five Kentucky Counties with a Fine Arts Agent.  Emmanuel is currently Dr. Davis' teaching assistant for an online offering of AEC 303, Microeconomic Concepts in Agricultural Economics.  He is also currently working on a research project with Dr. Davis and Dr. Wuyang Hu that is examining the residents' value of rural healthcare among ten rural Kentucky counties.


Georgette Owusu-Amankwah, BS

Georgette is a master's student at UK, in the Department of Agricultural Economics, College of Agriculture.  She is working with our Research Director on several grant funded projects.

Tom Sikora, MS  

 tom.sikora@uky.edu

Tom is a master's student at UK, in the Department of Agricultural Economics, College of Agriculture.  He has been working on multiple GIS mapping projects for CEDIK.  One project includes creating a visual directory of Kentucky organizations that are involved in economic development work.   Tom is also working on creating a visual directory of Kentucky farmer's markets, Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) farms, and roadside stands.
